Well, who doesn’t like a great brunch? And even better when you can eat brunch all-day, everyday – right? Well, then let me introduce Greasy Spoon, the solution to all of those brunch cravings and probably the best brunch option you will find in Stockholm.
The menu holds something for everyone’s pallet, if you are into chia pudding– I’m sure its great. Its not my cup of the though so can’t vouch for it. I much more fancy seriously good Eggs Benedict. And at Greasy Spoon, those Eggs Benedict are just killer. The hollandaise is perfect, not to greasy and not to light – but just right. And apart from so many other places in Stockholm it is actually served on an English muffin, which I really love. That of course goes for the Eggs Arlington as well. But skip the pancakes; there are better things on the menu.

The interior draws your thoughts to the sixties, wooden tables, jukebox and colorful wallpapers. But that’s all in a nice way. And the staff is always super friendly, even though they can miss a thing or two during a hectic weekend service. I’m sorry to say though; this is not a hidden gem. So if you fancy a brunch when everyone else also is getting those brunch cravings going, it means that you will have to wait. For probably an hour. Just so you know. They have a waiting list though, and they will give you a time when a table probably will be ready, so take a stroll and work up an appetite, it’s worth it. Or come on a weekday for breakfast or lunch or just during an off hour during weekends, and you won’t have that problem.

Greasy Spoon started by two Englishmen (hence the real English muffins on the menu), who lacked a proper brunch in Stockholm and were fed up with the old Stockholm style brunch buffets. You know, those poor leftover servings that more reminded you of a hotel breakfast at a semi-decent hotel, but stills set you back considerably for what you got. Since the start the competition has increased with more and more places turning to the a la carte brunch option, but one thing remained the same: Greasy Spoon is still one of the best options.
You will for sure get your English groove going on at Greasy Spoon
And being started by Britt’s also means that you can get a proper cup of tea. Which is of course nice. But more than that, sticky toffee pudding and full English breakfast also appears on the menu. Which is even nicer and you will for sure get your English groove going on at Greasy Spoon.
